Concert Features Nakia and Tje Austin, formerly of NBC’s The Voice

This month, the City of Austin’s Music Division and Parks Department kicked off Music in the Parks – a year-long concert series that boasts free, live music concerts in parks around Austin.

Nakia and Tje Austin, formerly of NBC’s The Voice, will perform a special Holiday in the Park concert this Thursday, Dec. 22 beginning at 8:30 p.m. at the Zilker Hillside Theater. The band Casino will open the show at 7:30 p.m.

“Music in the Parks expands from our Live from the Plaza series to bring a diverse line-up of local musicians to the greater Austin community.” said Don Pitts, Music Division Manager, “Throughout the next year the public can enjoy a series of live music concerts – from well-known artists to up-and-coming bands – at parks citywide.”

All are welcome to attend. Parking is free.
